Treatment for Teen Girls
Compass Rose Academy
For teen girls suffering from mental health conditions, the earlier families receive diagnoses, the more effective treatment can be. Identifying symptoms and implementing early treatment can also prevent severe problems from developing as teen girls grow into adults.
From a psychodynamic and attachment-focused lens, Compass Rose Academy’s clinical program emphasizes the central role of experience in the therapeutic healing process. Based on advances in affective neuroscience, these corrective experiences in therapy create new neurological pathways that reinforce new ways of being and relating, leading to changes that are deeper and longer lasting. The program centers around building inner resources in four primary developmental levels – Bonding, Boundaries, Reality, and Competence. As we build healthy internal structure in these areas, we find that symptoms like depression, anxiety, and behavioral disturbances decrease and often are eliminated. In fact, we find that clients can be empowered and their potential unleashed like never before!
