Compass Rose provides a positive, nurturing environment for teenage girls ages 14-18 struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, Reactive Attachment Disorder, PTSD, and bipolar disorder with a variety of acting out behaviors including self-harm, risky sexual behavior, defiance, sneaking out, drug experimentation, and inappropriate use of technology and social media. Students must have an IQ of 80 or above. Primarily, our girls tend to be those who turn inward and tend toward emotional numbing and isolation versus aggressive acting out. The program is not a match for teenagers with acute suicidal ideation, history of frequent violent aggression, autism spectrum disorders or psychotic disorders. Compass Rose Academy is not an intensive substance abuse program but offers support, therapy, and education to young people struggling with alcohol and/or drug experimentation. If after speaking with our admissions staff it is determined that your teenage daughter may be a good fit for Compass Rose, we will ask that you create a user account and fill out the online application in our secure web portal.
